MLA Deron Bilous taught at Edmonton's Inner City High School and has been involved in a number of projects, such as the Canada World Youth program, a volunteer youth program focusing on international development.

Born and raised in Edmonton, MLA Bilous attended the University of Alberta and earned his Bachelor of Education degree in 2001. He resides in the Beverly area in northeast Edmonton with his wife, Rose, and his stepchildren.

In addition to his duties as MLA for Beverly–Clareview, he serves as the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, the Deputy Government House Leader, and has previously served as the Minister of Municipal Affairs and as Minister of Service Alberta.
